 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 w/408 Stoker Motor - $3900
Located in Neenah Wisconsin
Texas truck (still has texas plates on it!)
RUST FREE (besides the side step bars)
1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport
2 wheel drive
I have owned this truck for 11 years and put over 150,000 miles on it. Its a good truck, and has done me well.
truck its self has 215,000 miles

Engine refreshed 5,000 miles ago with new bearings, rings and other random stuff.

@140,000 miles I pulled the motor and transmission for a performance build.

-Mopar 360 Block .030 over STROKED TO 408
-Mopar Performance 4" forged crank
-Keith Black forged pistons 10.5to1 compression
-Engle Cams 210/220 -.512/.524 Roller Cam (custom grind) ($300)
-Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers
- Eddelbrock Aluminum Heads (2.02) ($1,500)
-RPM "H" Beam rods
-Hughes Stage 2 Throttle Body
-K&N air filter
- B&G custom pcm flash
- Ford Motor sports 21lbs Injectors
-Mopar custom intake (removed , but included with the truck)
-Mopar M1 high flow Intake
-Mopar V10 radiator
-Two MSD Ignition boxes.

- APS 2,600 stall converter
-APS 5-Pinion Overdrive Planetary
-APS High Capacity Direct Drums
-APS Red Eagle Clutches

-New Ball Joints 4,000 miles ago
-New water pump
-New spark plug wires
-New Power Steering Pump
--Chrome Rims (16" with Michelin)
--Alloy Rims (16" with Goodyears)
--Extra 360 Long Block ( I know nothing about this motor, it was just a backup for the next build)
New, but not installed TRUE-LOC rear gears. 3.55 with posi-track

Truck does have 215,000 mile on it, so its not perfect. It does show wear. (seats are NOT ripped)

Rear-end gears need to be replaced. I do however have the replacement parts for it. I just have not done it yet.
Dash is cracked due to the Texas sun. It currently has a dash cover over it.
The last time the engine builder tore into it, he messed up one of the piston rings. It does have BLOW-BY. Because of the high crank-case pressure, it does leak oil.

This is a fun truck to drive. Drive it casually, but don't be afraid to get on it. Back in the day it was dynoed at 350hp/470fttq .

I would keep this truck for another 10 year, but I need a Suburban. It breaks my heart to see her go. It's priced low, so I don't have to deal with it sitting in the driveway.
