Years ago in the 1990's when I was a teen, I would pick up broken lawnmowers on garbage day and fix them up and sell them to make a few bucks.  95% of these mowers just needed the carb cleaned...

I use to use a product called "Hog Wash".  It was an aerosol Degreaser/carb cleaner.  This stuff was so corrosive it would eat paint "paint that you didn't want to remove" in seconds.

I can't find this stuff anywhere now.

If anyone know where to get it or sell me some old cans of it, Please reply here...

Thanks!

finding old mowers in the garbage to fix.... sounds like me back then.
The company that sold  (maybe made?) Hog wash used to be not too far from us, a place called herdor's in Mokena. I never did so myself, but I understand that you could go right to them off the street and get it cheaper than at the parts store.

I did a web search for Herdor's and it appears they still exist in Mokena, IL (Thanks for the info).  They don't have a website "which is strange for a business today".  I'll have to call them or stop by to see if they still make Hogwash.

With so many web stores and cheap advertising opportunities "ebay, amazon, facebook, forums, ect"  Its shocking they are not using those outlets to sell their product for little cost.

Although I did see though my searches a Lawsuit filed by Harley Davidson suing multiple companies for using the name "HOG" on their products.  Hogwash was one of them, I can't see the why though because the can Hogwash came in had a dirty pig and a v8 engine on it.

To be honest I haven't contacted Herdor's, I gotta get some of this stuff.  It would be great for stripping a motor bare for paint.
