I love those cars!

I did a little over 140 mph in a guy's Viper if I remember correctly.  Lots of fun but I did have to firmly hold onto the wheel.  lol

181 is gonna be hard to beat lol. Your 158 in a JGC beats me also, that had to be scary.

My top speed was 155mph in my 87 modified 350 GTA TransAm.  I had a 84 Buick Regal "with a 1972 350 Olds Rocket motor" that was way faster than my TransAm but the chrome on the body would fly off when hitting about 130mph.  I wish I wouldn't have sold either of those cars.

Back in 2000 I spent a couple of weeks in and around Munich, Germany.  From what I remember the autobahn was in good shape and people paid more attention to the rules of the road as well as what lane they were in.  For instance, slow people were in the slow lane and fast people were in the fast lane.  In the states slow people are in the fast lane playing with their cell phones and people wanting to get somewhere are weaving in-an- out trying to get around the slow people in the fast lane which is a recipe for disaster.  I'd much rather drive in Germany.  lol

GPS said peak of 166mph on the B12 - carbs, exhaust, ignition advancer.
Incredibly fun, but also incredibly foolish.

The '73 Swinger would see 100+ on a regular basis.

Life changes have them both parked for the foreseeable future, but they'll be back.
