Thought somebody might get a kick out of this.  I finally sold my dad's Greenfield no. 24 tap handle that I have been tripping over for the last several years, and, because I have no use for it.  Way too big for my purposes.  lol

I also could not believe how quickly it sold or how much I got for it.  I didn't think so many people would be interested in a tap handle this big.   Razz

Greenfield Mass. No. 24 Tap Handle/Wrench 73"L 1 1/2" - 3 1/2" Opening

He was just a mechanical engineer for Chrysler, Rockwell, and later Boeing, who liked to make things out of metal.  I was so young when he bought the tap handle that I don't remember everything that he did with it.

A few things would be the following though:
(1) I'm currently using his old welding table that he fabricated.  He threaded the center of it for a large forged eye bolt for lifting it to move it around when necessary.  (The table must weigh a ton. lol)  It was used to thread the legs for large adjustable feet as well.
(2) He also used it when making things like a snow plow set-up on his early '50's, Dodge Power Wagon, M37 Weapons Carrier, somewhat like the old county snow trucks, in which to raise and lower the plow.

You'd probably need 2-3 people to operate it. lol One on each handle and one to be sure it is going down straight.   Razz
