I picked up a 9.25 axle from a quad cab dakota off Craigslist. I'm going to swap gears, lsd and bearings. The master kits go up to2000. Then 2001 and up. I don't know if mine is a 2000 or 2001. Any one know how to tell. It has a flanged yoke .

Try www.mymoparpart.com once your through all the clicks to get to the year and vehicle you want, they usually have an exploded diagram of those parts so you can match them up.  Hopefully this helps, if not let us know.

I once had to put a rear end into a 2000 Dakota. (it was a side job that I did in the truck owner's garage) This truck had the 8-1/4 rear end but same thing may apply to a 9-1/4.
I went to the U pull, and they had 97-98-99 trucks available but none newer. I called my buddy at the dealer parts counter.... he went thru individual parts  for the 2 years on the dealer parts dept computer/
"Housing's the same, axles are the same, carrier's the same, same ring and pinion, only difference I see is the yoke" Junkyard said "98 rear end will not work in a 2000, that's all I can tell you".
so I asked for a cheaper price than I was quoted and said "if it doesn't fit I won't be back, don't worry".... I got it for less than asking price.

I bolted it in, replaced all 3 seals, and put the original yoke from the truck back on the replacement rear end. Worked fine.
