With laser being so common now, are any of them worth it, even the good ones?

I live in the land of Government control and high tax, with that being said I in my entire life driving have been hit with radar once. Lazer is very rare and for the Detector to pick it up, the lazer has to hit the Detector. With lazer they have to hit the license plate to get your speed
I have a cheap $50 whistler that I use every day, and it has saved me countless times. It usually goes off before I can see the police car. But it will go once in a blue moon in very urban commercial areas because of security systems and such.

I had a (then) expensive one, back when my wife was pregnant with our son. at the time she was driving farther to work than me. I offered her my fuzzbuster, she got her only ticket she has ever had the day she took it with her, on a back country road, where each crossroad is a mile, cornfields, etc... she said she heard a very slight blip not enough to really think it was a "good" hit.... I think it was 70 in a 55.... I have not seen that fuzzbuster since, that's been 25 years ago. she had ridden around with me having that fuzzbuster in my vehicle for a few months before that day... when I had it if I got within 1/4 to 1/2 mile of a Speedway gas station it would sound off and usually there wasn't a cop anywhere in the area..... I have occasionally wondered if theyd gotten any better since. this was a (then) very expensive top of the line Radio Shack unit.

If you get one of these, "CITY mode" is a must if your in an urban area, otherwise it will constantly go off. I even use City Mode in the rural areas that way if it goes off, I know its a cop.

Many years ago I used one. However, it gave so many alarms that weren't cops I was constantly hitting the brakes. After a while I said to hell with it and got rid of it. I felt I was a safer driver without it. lol
I thought they out lawed those years ago.
