Spread the word....

There is NO REYNOLDS EVENT THIS YEAR. The sponsor backed out and the car club that throws it annually is not doing it this year. Moral of the story.... Mopars at The Rock in April.

If there's not enough interest from you go-fast guys, I will be at Fun Ford in Atlanta. Too many Mustang buddies with 9-sec daily drivers to distract me from a Mopar event littered with 16-sec show-n-shine R/T's, if you know what i mean.

So, Florida crew, KRC, Maryland crew, etc..... North Carolina is just up I-95 from JAX and Orlando.  It's just down I-95 from the mid-Atlantic.

There's posts all about it on Delphi and DakUSA.  Lemme know which even to attend.

Other than you & Tony C, who else will be in the 11's?

After you answer that.... answer me this:  Who all SHOULD be in the 11's, but can't get there because they:
1.  Don't have the right tires.
2.  Have too much bling/stereo/clear corners crappola
3.  Won't race anyhow because the trucks "not together in time."
4.  Etc...

I am not slamming anyone, I am just saying that I have at least 10 buddies with 10-sec and 9-sec daily drivers who will be competing in Fun Ford's "True Street" class.  They enter the race, they tech in, their hood is closed, they are kept in a marshalled corral.  They go on a 30-mile drive on the interstate and the back roads, they come back to the marshalled corral.  No hoods can open, no trunks can open, no laptops can be plugged in.  Just change the air pressure in the tires and that's it.  They make 3 back to back to back runs and the fastest average wins.

Last year's winner ran a 9.15 @ 14x mph.

You understand my decision here?  If there's not going to be a strong showing at MATR, then I will save the travel expenses.

This event is about 100x as big as the southern nats.  This is the beginning of aug or we have the all chrysler nats which are hugh the beginning of July in Pa.

Yeah, gotta agree with you there, some people just have their priorities screwed up.  Who needs a stereo when you can listen to the cam and the blower? Wink  I like the idea of that true street class, a car that can actually be driven and then race.  Won't blame ya if you don't make it, but there should be a really strong showing of Dakotas (not sure how many are gonna be fast, but they'll be there).  I think TimC might have his truck back by then, sounds like it should be really strong.

Dude, I'm all for the Mopar Nats in Ohio.

That's gonna be a real good time.

We need to figure where to meet up, where to stay, etc.
