I'm looking for a O2 Simulator for my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L. I bought one from the Fast man many years ago. I contact the Fast man and he replied back that 5 years ago they became unavailable. Anyone have a good one for sale? Or know where I can get a good one?

I might have a downstream one for a 2001 Ram 5.9.  It didn't fit my Ram because my Ram had square connectors and this one is round.  I'll look around for it.

I believe they passed a law a few years back that made those illegal.

Does your jeep have round connectors?

I found it.  Some K&N air filter fluid leaked on the package.  The instructions are readable and the Sim didn't have any fluid on it. I never used it.

I have no idea if it works but it should since it's never been plugged in.

I'll sell it to you for $1 plus whatever shipping costs.

That sounds real good, Thank you Magnumman.  I'll have to check my plug, if it's still there. It's been many years since I installed the fast man sim and I think I cut the plug off and soldered the wires to the sim wires. I know the one I got from the fast man is a square black box about 3x2" . I keep getting code P0138 Just guessing my Sim box crapped out. I need to check the wires. I'll get back to you latter this week after I check it out.

This one is way smaller than that, about 1inch x 2.5inch and has a LED light on it and is epoxy filled.

My O2 plug is still on the factory O2 wiring. That's the good news. The bad news is that I checked #1 pin for power with the key on accy. and pin #1 has No power, None of the 4 pins have power with the key on accy. I read the instructions you posted a pic of, Not having power to pin #1 with key on may cause irreparable damage to the PCM. Do you know if on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee if the O2 plug pin #1 is suppose to have 12 volt positive with the key on?

First pic is my O2 Sim plugged into the factory O2 downstream plug. I got that O2 Sim many many years ago from the fast man.

Second pic is the factory O2 downstream plug with 4 pins.

First test for power on pin #1 was with a test light, it never lit up. I just used my crappy multi meter and got 10.7 to 11.0 on pin #1 with the key on accy. Attached is a pic of what I had the multi meter on and the reading it gave me. Let me know what you think, I'm not that good with multi meters so I might have done it wrong.

Move the dial 2 clicks up to 20 when testing on your vehicle for proper readings.

You have it on the Milli-volt setting, so 10.9 would equal .0109 volts which is basically a zero reading.

I would try to see what the results are with the Jeep running but thats just my opinion.  I have a friend that has a 1998 Jeep 4.0 i6, he had to replace his PCM because it was corroded where the harness plugs in, that may be something to look in to.

With engine running and Multi Meter on 20 v  pin #1 is 13.33. I sent you a private message. I'll buy your O2 Sim.

Just wanted to post a update. I finally got around to installing the O2 Simm that I bought from magnumman and driving my Jeep to work 48 miles each way. About 30 of the 48 miles each way was on the interstate at 70 mph. My Jeep had NO issues at all, NO check engine light, No codes, drove and ran great.

Thank you again magnumman for your help and great price on the O2 Simm. Perfect PayPal transaction
