the 4.7 has an aluminum cylinder head doesn't it? ever any problems with them or the gasket?

Good point. IMHO there's always more trouble with aluminum heads, at least on an iron block, than iron heads in a marine/salty environment. Dissimilar metals spell corrosion/electrolysis even in Arizona. I just flashed back to the many Fiats and Volvos in my past!

I have boost on mine with no ill effects yet. My SBC also has edelbrock aluminum heads with no issues.

Well we're averaging 10cm (4") a week minimum... and have been since early December. If it wasn't for relatively mild days we'd have snow up to the roof.
